San Francisco Vintage Landmark Series - Lyford House, Pen & Ink 1953 - #8
Sketch #8 is of San Francisco bay's "Lyford House", a San Francisco Bay Area Registered National Historic Landmark. Originally located on Strawberry Point, Mill Valley and owned by Dr. Lyford in the 1800's, the building was moved by barge in 1957 when threatened by demolition to Tiburon. The land and property would become the Richardson Bay Audubon Center and Sanctuary. Printed to duplicate the actual size of the original on-site pen & ink quick-sketches my father created over 70+ years ago. These collectable San Francisco landmark series vintage prints, were sold on Fisherman's Wharf for many years during that time period in the 1950's, and I am offering them again now after all of these years.
