Two Fighting Hummingbirds
Jack Feldman Stockton, California, United States Title: Two Fighting Hummingbirds. Created by JACK FELDMAN AMERICAN MASTER ARTIST. This is information every selling artist should know. STILL STOLEN... but not forgotten... After 26 years (1986-2012) this small 7x7 inch pocket-size painting on panel remains listed with the national and international registries for stolen fine art paintings. WHEN IT WAS STOLEN... In 1986, "Two Fighting Hummingbirds" was entered into a recognized national magazine's wildlife art contest. "Two Fighting Hummingbirds" was accepted, judged, selected and published as the 19th winner from 239 entries in the January/February 1986 issue of the magazine, "Wildlife Art News". A SURPRISE REPLY...after the contest... When "Two Fighting Hummingbirds" did not find its way home, long distance phone calls of inquiry were made to the magazine, requesting the painting's return. THE RESULTS WERE...the magazine said... "It did not know about the painting or where the painting was, also they have no system to track its location." Now knowing about the lost painting, denied any responsibility for its care and return. Stating, "There is no more that we can do." THE END RESULT... the stolen art is still stolen. Exhibiting my art I have had 5 paintings STOLEN. ARTIST TAKE HEED !

You can see the angry Jeerers, and the peaceful protesters. Dad asks if we see this today? Created in 1966, not long after the Selma to Montgomery March, Dad's "America Today Series" still holds true. Jack Feldman's "America Today Series" a social commentary. The Original Overlay Collage was created in 1966 during very difficult times. These thought provoking Silkscreen Prints are hand signed and numbered by the artist. Unfortunately the original collage piece was lost, thankfully we have these "Silkscreen" Prints (only 80 exist). Both the jeerers and the protesters are a continuous line, Dad never lifted the pencil from the paper. J
