Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture At this time, my father is trying to have this painting,"KATRINA", placed in the museum. He spoke with the owner of the painting recently and asked him to do this. We'll see what happens. "KATRINA" a lone survivor, with a broken pair of well used eyeglasses and a lovingly worn simple old-gold wedding band..."wrapped only in the symbol and security of American beliefs and promises"... the harsh and distant calls of the uninvited, yet oncoming, ruckus droves of both human scavengers and scavenger crows can still to be fearfully heard and seen until this day.
