"Lena the Hyena" contest 1946

 - in 1946, Dad entered a contest with his rendition of Li'l Abner Comic strip character "Lena the Hyena" - he said he placed about 15th out of many nation wide submissions. This Life Magazine article says there were 500,000 entries. If I find the art I'll add it to this post later.
